Folk happens every Monday at Willoughby Arms, a Victorian pub in Canbury with real London history. Serious musicians used to pass through here when they were finding their sound. It's not showy. Just people listening, there for the songs, a different crowd than most live-music rooms draw.

Canbury's quiet, south of the river, far enough from the West End that you actually hear the music without shouting over someone's phone. You end up here when you're exploring that corner of southwest London, not hunting a venue name. Arrive early for a seat, bring cash, expect proper beer and people who came to listen.
