The Old Brewery runs a quiz every Sunday. Entry is just £3 per person, low enough that trying it once doesn't feel like a financial gamble.

The in-house team rotates the categories each week, which stops it going stale if you keep coming back. A rolling jackpot starts at £50 and climbs each week no one answers the final questions, which is the kind of thing that gets people invested. Winning teams get free drinks, which at least covers some of your night.
