Brewdog Clerkenwell: Darts in London

ClosedWas a pubClerkenwellCraft beer

Heads up before you plan a trip: BrewDog Clerkenwell has closed. The craft beer bar at 45-47 Clerkenwell Road, a short walk from Farringdon station, shut its doors in early March 2026 when BrewDog sold its brand and brewing to Tilray and left 38 UK bars, this one included, out of the rescue deal. CAMRA's WhatPub listing now records it as closed long term, with the lease available to a new tenant.

If you came here chasing a darts night, you will need somewhere else. We could not independently confirm a working dart board or any active league fixtures at this site, and in any case the venue is no longer trading. Treat any old listing that still shows it as open as out of date.

Good to know

Why it closed

BrewDog announced on 3 March 2026 that it was shutting a swathe of bars with immediate effect, and Clerkenwell was on the list. The trigger was the sale of the BrewDog brand and its UK brewing operations to Tilray Brands. That deal kept only a handful of venues; the rest, 38 bars in total, were left out, which led to closures and roughly 484 redundancies across the chain. London Region CAMRA's pub update simply records the site as closed following the BrewDog sale to Tilray.

What is there now

As of the most recent CAMRA/WhatPub check the unit at 45-47 Clerkenwell Road is closed long term, with the lease available through an agent. The building is a converted warehouse-style space that has housed bars since the late 1990s, so it may well reopen as something new, but there is no confirmed operator yet. Until that changes, do not turn up expecting a pint or a game. If you are after darts in the area, look at central London league listings such as CoLDA, Capital Arrows or the Smithfield Darts League for venues that are actually open.

Common questions

Is BrewDog Clerkenwell still open?
No. BrewDog Clerkenwell has permanently closed. It shut in early March 2026 after BrewDog sold its brand and brewing to Tilray and the Clerkenwell site was not part of the rescue deal. CAMRA's WhatPub listing records it as closed long term.
Where was BrewDog Clerkenwell?
It was at 45-47 Clerkenwell Road, Farringdon, London EC1M 5RS, a short walk from Farringdon station.
Why did BrewDog Clerkenwell close?
BrewDog sold its brand and UK brewing operations to Tilray Brands in early 2026. The deal kept only a small number of venues, leaving 38 bars including Clerkenwell out, which led to immediate closures announced on 3 March 2026.
Can you still play darts at BrewDog Clerkenwell?
No, because the venue has closed. We also could not independently confirm a working dart board or active league fixtures at this site, so any old listing suggesting otherwise is out of date.
Is the BrewDog Clerkenwell site available to rent?
Yes. The CAMRA/WhatPub listing shows the unit at 45-47 Clerkenwell Road as closed long term with the lease available, so it may reopen under a new operator in future.
