Kempton's one of those places where you're not sure what to expect when you arrive, but that's exactly the point. A working heritage railway tucked into the old waterworks site in Sunbury, built around steam trains and gardens rather than a traditional venue. The programming skews family and experiential: teddy bear picnics, railway days, the kind of thing you'd take someone to for the day rather than an evening out. It's quirky without trying, and the crowd is there for that oddness. Out on the fringes, but that's where the best weird stuff lives.
