This is a cinema that takes curation seriously. Documentaries, world cinema, work that's got identity and politics at its heart. South Asian narratives, underrepresented voices, cinema with an actual argument. It sits in Queen Mary but isn't student-only. Independent cinema feel: a room designed for watching, nothing layered on. The East End has always been where communities new to London land, and the venue reflects that consciousness. What you get is a crowd that thinks. The programming is deliberately specific, not trying to be everything to everyone. Come if you want cinema with something to say, not spectacle or escape. It doesn't apologise for that not being for everyone.
