Belmacz shows contemporary art in Mayfair, but not the polished blue-chip gallery kind. The work here tends toward the experimental: sculpture, installation, pieces that make you stop and think about what you're actually looking at. Programming has real conviction behind it rather than playing it safe. The space is small enough that you see things clearly; large enough that there's genuine complexity on the walls. Mayfair galleries are quiet by default, which works here. You come because you want to see something specific, not to be seen. The neighborhood's walkable from Piccadilly, or you can make a whole afternoon of the gallery quarter.
