Wednesday nights at The King's Head mean serious quiz business, but the atmosphere is genuinely friendly despite the Quizmaster's exacting standards. Rounds like Spot the Intro and Wipeout keep you sharp, with tie-breaker questions if scores are close. It's the kind of night where you realise how much (or how little) you actually know.
The real draw is value. Burger Night runs alongside the quiz: grab one of their burgers with either a free soft drink or an alcoholic one for a quid extra. Entry is just £2.50 per team member. Book your table ahead; it fills up. Winners get £50 bar credit, second place takes wine, and everyone else gets into quick-fire drink rounds. Even last place gets a bag of crisps and the night's Dunce bragging rights.
