LAMDA and Theatre503 present... “I think I’ll mother the world. I will. I WILL MOTHER THE FUCKING WORLD.” Society has a lot of opinions about women’s bodies. What goes in them, what comes out of them, what they’re worth, what they owe. Pramkicker is about what happens when one woman – finally, spectacularly – stops being polite about any of it. Jude kicked a pram. It was empty, for the record, and the other woman started it. Now she’s been court-mandated into anger management sessions – so she does what she always does. She brings Susie. Her younger sister. Her moral compass, however reluctant. Susie, it turns out, is pregnant. Between the two of them, they have managed to cover every possible position on the question of motherhood – and neither of them knows what to do next. Over three sessions and several gins later, a lifetime of unsaid things come spilling out, a past neither sister has dared speak aloud finally gets spoken. Furiously funny, unapologetically rude, and ultimately devastating, it centres the female body – as battleground, as political statement, as the thing everyone seems to have an opinion about except the woman living in it.
