Educators' Session: Artists, Schools & Cultural Organisations working together

The Photographers' Gallery

Time5pm
DateFri 3 Jul

This is a conversation about making art institutions genuine learning spaces for young people. Eva Jonas leads workshops on the Photographers' Gallery's photography programme. Kairo Urovi is a photographer who came through the same scheme as a student and now mentors others. Both collaborate on youth programmes elsewhere too.

The question at the heart is practical: how do artists and venues become meaningful to how young people learn and develop? Eva and Kairo share what they've discovered from their work. They're inviting teachers and cultural workers to bring their own perspectives. The focus is on real experience: what works, what's challenging, what you find when you try to build genuine partnerships.

If you're working in schools or cultural venues and thinking about collaborations differently, it's worth your time.
