With a rhythm section inspired by early Muse\, My Chemical Romance-esque guitar voicings\, the textural layering of Radiohead-style keys/violin\, and vocal inflections reminiscent of Garbage\, they are lyrically inspired by wider political frustrations and introspective ideas around mental health and queer identity. Butane Skies are well-established at local grassroots venues and play regularly across the Southwest and beyond. After two singles and a DIY music video released in 2025\, they launched their debut EP ‘Innocence’&nbsp\; in May 2026 and are continuing to develop original material for an upcoming album.
